I think we’re all relieved with rain showers received last week. It will green our lawns, water our flowers and fill our drinking reservoirs. Time to harvest the last of the fruit, put away the garden hoses and have the first fire to warm our toes. I like to stretch the summer season, after all, it is still officially summer until September 22nd. The MGB is still a convertible, I wait for sunny days to hang the laundry outside and hesitate to store my summer clothes to replace with wool sweaters. Here’s to us living in the Cowichan Valley!
